Sumner Newscow report — The Sumner County Sheriff Office report for June 29 to July 6, 2020, weekly jail bookings are as follows: 

Sumner County gets 4 more COVID-19 positive cases over weekend

by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Sumner County Health Officer Laura Rettig announced that the county has four new COVID-19 positive cases over the weekend.

Sumner County now has had 17 positive cases and currently, five of those are active. There have been 11 recoveries and one death.

The Sumner County Health Department confirmed on its Facebook business page that one female is in her 40s, one female in her 50s, one male in his 40s, and one male in his 60s. Rettig said the cases are not a cluster in one location, but sprinkled throughout the county.

Computer E-Waste Collection Day is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Sumner Newscow report – Saturday, July 11 will be Computer E-Waste Collection Day from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wellington Recycling Center.

We are now collecting only unwanted, working, and non-working electronic devices.  Computers, laptops, networking, LED monitors, servers, cables and plugs.

City officals are not accepting CRT monitors, TV’s, microwaves or printers
