Wellington USD 353 enrollment and visa card pickup will be held tomorrow from 12 to 7 p.m.

Sumner Newscow report — USD 353 enrollment and visa card pickup will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) from 12 to 7 p.m. This will be the only day to pick up Visa cards at your school(s) school. Call the Central Office if you cannot make this date and schedule a pickup time.

In order to comply with social distancing guidelines and avoid large crowds, enrollment and Visa card pick up will be at the individual schools. People will need to go to each of your students’ schools to pick up cards.

City of Wellington repairs 24-inch supply line, dirty water and low pressure likely

Sumner Newscow report — The City of Wellington Water Distribution crews made repairs to the 24″ supply line this morning (8/3/20).  The line is currently being charged which will result in instances of dirty water and low water pressure. 

City of Wellington is having computer E-Waste Collection Day Saturday

Sumner Newscow report — The City of Wellington is having a Computer E-Waste Collection Day to be held on August 8 at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the Wellington Recycling Center/

The city is now collecting ONLY unwanted, working and non-working electronic devices.  Computers, laptops, networking, LED monitors, servers, cables and plugs.

Workers will not be accepting CRT monitors, TV’s, microwaves or printers

Tomorrow is the Kansas Primary, here are the precinct locations

Sumner County report — The following are the precints for the precinct voting locations for tomorrow’s Kansas State Primary.     

Polls in Sumner County are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

We have color coordinated precinct locations using the school’s colors (Conway Springs is in silver because we already have too many red). They are: Argonia, Belle Plaine, Conway Springs, Oxford, South Haven and Wellington. All rural precincts are in black.

Avon Township, Wellington Knights of Columbus Hall, 201 E. Harvey, Wellington.
