Border Queen Cruiser history

In 1987 a small group of friends were talking and they decided it would be fun to have a car show and the Border Queen Cruiser’s Car Club was born.  Each year for the last 30 years the Border Queen Cruiser’s have sponsored the All Wheels Super Saturday Car Show on Saturday of Labor Day weekend.  This show brings in cars from all over the State of Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska and Missouri.

Besides being car buffs, this organization is community service oriented.  Throughout the years they have donated thousands of dollars and hours of time to help promote the community.

The Car Show plays a large part in this effort to raise money to take on projects.  It has allowed them to purchase the City Tram, Chamber sound system and trailer, slide at the pool, Silhouettes’ south of Caldwell, stage at the City Park, just to name a few.  They have also made numerous monetary donations to school groups, Senior Center, Ministerial Alliance, Park Place and the list could go on.  The most recent and largest project to date is the Cemetery Kiosk.  It houses information for three local cemeteries, the Caldwell City Cemetery, Czechoslovakian Cemetery and the Corzine Cemetery.
