Sumner County football teams will be playing under a harvest moon on Friday, the 13th

by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — It should be a great night to watch a football game. Tonight, there will be a harvest moon. Oh, it is also Friday, the 13th. Expect some wild things on the gridiron.

Here is the schedule for tonight’s games in Sumner County. All games are at 7 p.m.

Argonia-Attica at Central Burden. Both teams are 0-1 and looking for a win.

Conway Springs at Cheney. Conway Springs was brutal against Wichita Trinity. Garden Plain lost to Garden Plain 35-19.

Oxford at Sedan. Wildcats had a big season-opening win. Can they make it two in a row? Sedan is always a formidable foe despite losing to St. Paul last week 52-14.

South Haven at Cedar Vale-Dexter. Cedar Vale-Dexter defeated Altoona-Midway 50-0 and is getting “others” recognition in the statewide rankings. Could be a tough evening for South Haven.

Flinthills at Caldwell. Flinthills lost to Udall 21-0. Caldwell, big winners over South Haven, hopes to make it 2-0.

Kingman at Belle Plaine. The Dragons are home for the second straight week. Kingman could prove to be problematic after defeating Chaparral 21-7.
