Good Shepherd Hospice now a new business for Sumner Community Hospital

Submitted to Sumner Newscow – A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday afternoon to welcome Good Shepherd Hospice to the Wellington community. The new hospice will be located at the administrative wing of Sumner Community Hospital, formerly known as SRMC.

The Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce/CVB ambassadors, and SCH officials held the Ribbon Cutting ceremony of the Hospice’s new location, in hopes of serving the people needing hospice services.

Good Shepherd Hospice strives for excellence in providing care and support to each and every patient, wherever they call home.  Good Shepherd Hospice is privately owned focusing on end-of life care and has been in operation since 1995. Don Greiner, CEO, Oklahoma City, is Owner and founder of Good Shepherd Hospice.

Good Shepherd Hospice began serving the community of Wichita and surrounding areas in 2006, a multiple location was opened in Newton, KS in 2014.  We are honored to serve the Wellington and surrounding communities with great pride and passion to assure that anyone facing end of life, has the care, support and guidance needed to get through this part of life.

The Hospice Physician and Associate Medical Director will be Wellington’s own Dr. Tamara McCue, D.O. McCue is a geriatric specialist and has been practicing for 25 years.  She graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and specializes in geriatric medicine and hospice and palliative medicine.

Mosiman continues.
