By Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Kellen Green, a senior Oxford basketball player, has been named Big Cheese Athlete of the Week.

Green has had an incredible start to the season. He had a 30-point performance against Fairfield in the season opener that included seven 3-pointers. Since then, he has averaged 16.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.1 steals per game. Green has helped the Wildcats to a 4-2 record and is on course to become the third Oxford boy to score 1,000 points in his career. He is currently 100 away.

For his effort, Green is the recipient of a large, delicious Big Cheese Pizza at 324 N. Washington in Wellington.
