Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington Humane Society Pet of the Week is Finn.

Finn is a 2-year-old mixed breed weighing about 55 pounds. This sweet boy has been at the shelter for over 200 days, and during that time, we’ve gotten to know him so well! Finn loves people, though he can be a little unsure around small children—older kids are just fine. He’s a smart guy who knows lots of commands and loves to show them off!

Finn might not be a “designer breed” or have fancy curls, but he’s the kind of dog who wins hearts with his personality. He’s your classic shelter mutt—loyal, loving, and ready to be someone’s best friend. We know he’ll bring so much love and joy to the home lucky enough to adopt him!

Stop in this week to meet this special pet. The shelter is open on Wednesday through Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you are interested in adoption, please complete the online application before entering to speed up the adoption process. WHS officials process applications in the order they are received, so the sooner you submit your application, the better. And don’t forget, the Pet of the Week has a discounted adoption fee of $10 off pets during their week!
