Sumner Newscow report — The City of Wellington has announced four items up for public bid including farm ground at Worden Park, farm ground at Wellington Lake, native grass hay at Wellington Lake and farm ground at Wellington Landfill and Transfer Station:

1. 50 acres of farm ground at Worden Park.

Invites your firm price quote per year on approximately 50 acres of farm ground at Worden Park, west of the intersection of Hillside and “H” Street, for a 5-year period, beginning August 1, 2015 and ending June 30, 2020.  This land is located south of the ball fields and tree nursery.  This can only be used for agricultural production and for no other purpose.  Price bid shall be the annual payment for each year.  Please mark on the outside of your envelope “Worden Park Farm Ground Bid.”  All bids must be received in the City Clerk’s Office – 317 South Washington, Wellington, Kansas  67152 no later than May 28, 2015 at 10:00 AM.  All bids will be opened publicly at 10:00 AM on May 28, 2015 in the City Council Chambers.  If you have any questions or wish to view this property, please contact Jeremy Jones at the Wellington Street Department at 620-326-7831.

2. 20 acres of farm ground at Wellington Lake.
