EXPLANATION: We welcome you to this year’s Medallion Hunt.

EXPLANATION: Worden Park is not known for activities that dig or deface.

Wednesday, July 2 — Medallion Hunt Clue #3

Let’s dance.

EXPLANATION: Deer tend to dance across the Worden Park landscape.

Thursday, July 3 — Medallion Hunt Clue #4

Frank Shorter’s gold made America proud.

EXPLANATION:  Shorter, a gold medalist marathon runner, sparked the running craze. Many joggers run at Worden Park.

Friday, July 4 — Medallion Clue #5

Some would argue Wednesday is the first true day of the Wheat Festival.

EXPLANATION: Wednesday is July 9, and there are nine positions in softball played at Worden Park.

Monday, July 7 — Medallion Clue #6

Can’t see the forest for the trees.

EXPLANATION: Tree lines sprinkle the Worden Park landscape.

Tuesday, July 8 — Medallion Clue #7

In 1959, this great movie probably packed your local theater.

EXPLANATION: North by Northwest was a big movie in 1959, and Worden Park is in northwest Wellington.

Wednesday, July 9 — Medallion Clue #8

Cup of Morning Joe gets things going in the morning.

EXPLANATION: The World Cup is a big event in soccer. Soccer is played at Worden Park.

Thursday, July 10  — Medallion Clue #9

Did you enjoy picnics in the park?

EXPLANATION: Picnics are a popular activity for people during softball tournaments at Worden Park.

Friday, July 11- Medallion Clue #10

Aspiring NASCAR drivers… Start… your… engines!

EXPLANATION: The Medallion is east of the Go-Kart Track at Worden Park.
