Bryant Lee Robinson, 84, Wellington: Dec. 11, 1931 – Feb. 27, 2016
Bryant Lee Robinson died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington at the age of 84.
Bryant was born the son of George and Opal (Colvin) Robinson on Friday, December 11, 1931 in Ulman, Missouri. On May 3, 1966, Bryant and Shirley Oliver were united in marriage in Vinita, Oklahoma. Together they celebrated 59 years of marriage.
Bryant served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He made his career in the Federal Government as the Chief of Operations for Quality Assurance at Boeing Aircraft. Bryant was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a loving father and grandfather that will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Robinson of Wellington; daughter, Amy Gambill and her husband John of Eldon, Missouri; son, David Robinson and his wife Jennifer of Wellington; grandchildren: Laura Wilson and her husband Joel of Eldon, Missouri, Lyndsey Gambill of Columbia, Missouri and Logan Robinson of Wellington along with his two great-grandchildren, Grace and Norah Wilson of Eldon, Missouri. Â
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lola Schmick and Ruby Ferguson and a brother, Gerald Robinson.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday March 4, 2016 with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Bryant will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, Wellington.
A private interment will be held at a later time.
A memorial fund has been established in his loving memory to the First United Methodist Church – Scholarship Fund. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
