Sumner Newscow report — The Building and Codes Department of the City of Wellington reminds citizens that permits and inspections are required for Building, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical work being done in the City of Wellington.  In some cases, and as per Code, a licensed contractor may be required to obtain the permit and perform the work.

Life/Safety is the primary reason for requiring permits.  Proper construction protects not only you, but your family, neighbors, renters and buyers of your property.  The following projects are some, but not all, examples of when permits are required.
