Help wanted: Sumner County Sheriff Detention Officer 1: Pay Level:  6, Pay Range: $11.64 – $19.10.  Status: Non-exempt. Minimum education/experience required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Position processes inmates through detention facility.  Maintains security of inmates in facility and during transport to health care providers, court appearances and other locations outside the facility as required.  Prepares reports and forms in accurate and timely manner.  Proficiency in computer entry skills preferred.  Candidate must pass a Criminal History background check. Must have a valid KS driver’s license.
