Sumner Newscow report — The following are important dates for Wellington High School seniors:

Wednesday, April 27 2016 – 10:00 a.m. – Senior Meeting in the WHS Auditorium. Students will be given their senior check-out sheets and information regarding Senior Class Night, Baccalaureate and Graduation.

Friday, May 6, 2016 – Last Day for Seniors who are not required to take finals.

Sunday, May 8, 2016 – Baccalaureate – 3 p.m. – Free Will Baptist Church – 1219 North Plum.  This is a faith-based ceremony.  Even though attendance is optional for this service, several members of the community and several high school seniors spend a lot of time planning the service and it would be wonderful to have the service well attended.

Monday, May 9, 2016 –-Senior Finals (during regular class period times) – 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, 8^th Periods. If you are required to take a Tuesday final, you must attend that class period Monday morning.

Tuesday, May 10, 2016 – Senior Finals – 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th Periods – seniors dismissed after 4^th period.

Thursday, May 12, 2016 – Required Marching Practice – 1:00 p.m. – Meet in the Main Gym. Seniors will receive their 10 tickets to give to family and friends for priority seating at graduation. If you haven’t turned in your check-out sheet, please do so at this practice. An all-school assembly will follow the marching practice which seniors are encouraged to attend.

Thursday, May 12, 2016 – Senior Class Night – 7 p.m. – meet in the Auxiliary Gym by 6:30 p.m. Wear cap and gown.

 Sunday, May 15, 2016 – 2:00 p.m. Graduation Ceremony  – Seniors need to report to the auxiliary gymnasium no later than 12:45 p.m. Susan Treft will be taking individual pictures and a class picture. Please remind your family and friends who have a ticket for priority seating, the doors will open at 1:00 p.m. and they must be in the WHS main gymnasium before 1:30 p.m. At that time we will allow the general public to be seated.

 

ANY SENIOR WHO DOES NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS NIGHT OR GRADUATION CEREMONY – PLEASE ADVISE MR. HATFIELD OR MRS. YATES.

 SENIOR FEES/FINES MUST BE PAID IN FULL AND SENIOR CHECK-OUT SHEETS HANDED INTO MRS. YATES BEFORE STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE THEIR DIPLOMAS.
