Sumner Newscow report — KAKE News is reporting a doctor was arrested at his northwest Wichita office Wednesday on suspicion of recording sex acts.

Dr. Travis Hubin, 45, was taken into custody at the Via Christi Clinic at 13213 West 21st Street. Hubin served as an independent contractor for the emergency room at Sumner Regional Medical Center for physician services.

According to KAKE News, after questioning by detectives, Wichita Police Department Sgt. Nikki Woodrow said Hubin was booked for “promoting the sales of sexual relations.” She explained Hubin is accused of paying people to record sex acts for his own satisfaction.

Sedgwick County Jail booking records show Hubin was held there for “promoting prostitution; induce another more than 16 years of age.” Woodrow indicated children were not involved in the recordings. Police plan to release more details Thursday.

SRMC officials have no comment pending the investigation.

Any charges will have to be filed by the Sedgwick County  District Attorney’s office.
