Wellington Christian Academy hosts its own mock election
Sumner Newscow report — There is the real election and then there are the mock elections. Schools across Sumner County held mock elections, including the Wellington Christian Academy.
As part of learning about the election process, WCA students registered to vote in October. Mrs. Bassford’s fourth grade class manned election headquarters where students signed in, received a ballot and an “I Voted” sticker.
WCA middle schoolers then counted the vote. Above, WCA kindergarten student Meryn Metzen, pictured above, casts her vote in the WCA mock election.Â
A special thank you to Debra Norris and the Sumner County Clerk’s office for providing the stickers.
