American Legion Riders Chapter 90 starting food drive for Wounded Warriors
Sumner Newscow report — The American Legion Riders Chapter 90 is starting a food drive for the Wounded Warriors at Fort Riley, Kansas starting today and running throughout the month.
The Legion Riders are looking for 700 16-ounce cans of Fruit Cocktail. It is for wounded, ill, injured soldiers, veterans and their families. There are at least 700 soldiers and/or their families that may not have Thanksgiving without each Chapter in Kansas helping out. These donations go to a very good cause and only for Fort Riley soldiers.
“We are asking for our communities help by asking for donations of fruit cocktail or donation to buy it ourselves,” said Rick Sexton of the Wounded Warriors.
