Area receives 2.5 inches of rain over the weekend
Sumner Newscow report — The ice storm did not turn out to be as bad as predicted, thank goodness. And Sumner County got some much needed moisture.
Wellington received 2.5 inches of rain throughout the weekend according to our trusty rain gauge. Good thing. Sumner County was partially between abnormally dry and moderate drought according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor report.
