Bankers, Teacher Participation Awards presented at 2018 Sumner County Conservation District Annual Meeting
Sumner Newscow report — The 75th annual Sumner County Conservation District Annual Meeting was held at the Raymond Frye Complex Saturday evening.
The annual award dinners included Bankers Award for water quality and soil conservation and a Teacher Participation Award.
The winners are are follows:
Water Quality award was presented to Kevin Ruyle and Thane Buss. Steve Schmidt, chairman of the SCCD Board, presented the award. Ruyle and Buss are Oxford area farmers who work together.
Soil Conservation award was presented to the The Raymond Ritter Trust. Tenants Leon Becker and Jared Allen accepted the award for Ritter, who lives in Montana and could not make the event.
Teacher Participation Award – was presented to Linda Chase. Board members Bryan Andra and Doug Hisken presented the award.
Other winners include: Cathy Gann – E-mail drawing, and Ron Condit – Early Bird Drawing.
