Berry D. Hutsler, of Caldwell, died on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Sumner County Hospital District #1 in Caldwell at the age of 85.

Berry was born the son of Homer and Mamie (Berry) Hutsler on Tuesday, December 16, 1930 in Drury.

Berry was a proud member of the United States Marines Corps having served in the Korean War. While home on leave, Berry and Tommie L. Massey were united in marriage in Bentonville, Arkansas. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage before her passing. 

Berry served the Caldwell community as a volunteer for the Fire Deparment and EMT for over 30 years. Many will remember him from his 35 year career as the CO-OP Feed Mill manager. 

Survivors include his daughter, Sherry Young (Lynn); daughter, Cynthia Blunk (Jim); son, Kelly Hutsler (Roxi) all of Caldwell, grandchildren: Jamie Young (Julie) of Caldwell, Stacy Tucker (Jon) of Haysville, Logan Blunk of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Jory Hutsler (Kristin) of Caldwell and Lieren Cink of Caldwell, great-grandchildren: Ian, Aidan and Jasmine Young, William and Lincoln Tucker, Kyzer and Brecken Hutsler and Decater Cink.  

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Dermid and Betty Scott and brother, Billy D. Hutsler. 

There will be no visitation. 

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Goodel Cemetery, Drury.

A memorial fund has been established in his loving memory to the Sumner County Hospital District #1, Caldwell. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
