Bill Sirmons died on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at his home in Wellington at the age of 52.

Bill was born the son of Fred and Martha J. (Wells) Sirmons on Monday, April 20, 1964 in Windsor, Missouri. His father precedes him in death.

Many will remember Bill as a musician and songwriter with the band Tempest and Phat Black Willie. His gift of music was something that he loved sharing with others and allowed him to establish lifelong friends. He will be missed by many.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Sirmons and her fiancé Sparks Leighty of Ponca City, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Krystine Sirmons, Tandym and Journey Wheeler and Braidyn Hampton; his mother, Martha Sirmons of Derby; brother, Skeet Sirmons and his wife Mardon of Wellington; sister, Barbara Coulson and her husband Mikel of Wichita; nephew, Chris Case and great-niece, Brees Case of Derby.  

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 to 8 p.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016 with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services for Bill will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 23, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, Wellington.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
