Blansett defense rests after morning testimony of clinical psychologist

State of Kansas vs. Lindsey BlansettSumner Newscow report — The defense of Lindsey Nicole Blansett has rested after calling on three witnesses this morning. Blansett is accused of first degree murder of her 10-year-old son Caleb.

Sumner County Attorney Kerwin Spencer will call on one more witness in rebuttal at 1 p.m. when court reconvenes. Attorneys closing statements may follow.

Dr. Jarrod Steffan, a clinical and forensic psychologist, took to the stand this morning and testified for 1 hour and 12 minutes about the mental condition of Blansett leading up to the alleged murder on Dec. 14.
