Brett Cook

Brett Allen Cook died on Friday, February 21 in Wichita at the age of 56. Brett was born on March 3, 1968 to Thelma Jane and Leslie Cook in Wellington. Brett attended Wellington Senior High and later went to Cowley County Community College. Brett’s daughter was born in 1991 and he loved his family very much. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved the dogs he had over the years. Brett would often teach his daughter things like “c’est la vie.”

Brett is survived by his daughter, Ashley Cook (Waterloo, IA); grandson, Ashton; granddaughter, Avril; sister, Jona (Jim) Higgins; brother, Brian (Lorrine) Cook; niece, Tiffany Mashak; nephew, Jarrod (Christie) Miller; nephew, Adam (Megan) Edgerton; nephew, Jason (Kai) Valentine; niece, Brandi (Joey) Hokit; and several great nieces and great-nephews. Brett is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Edwards; father, Leslie Cook; and sister, Julie Saville.

Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
