Caldwell takes down South Barber 46-28; Argonia-Atttica, South Haven win big
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — The Caldwell Bluejays took a huge step toward a playoff berth with a 46-28 victory over South Barber. It was a barn burner for sure.
The Chieftains took a 6-0 lead after one quarter. But Caldwell quarterback Darin Ward would get the first of his five touchdowns on a 25 yard run. An interception by Sam Wencel led to a Bluejays touchdown and Caldwell’s first lead. The Jays led 14-6 at the half.
South Barber would eventually retake the lead with two touchdowns to start the second half. But two Ward to Wencel touchdowns would put Caldwell back in front for good. The full stats are here:Â Caldwell – Box Score Report – 10_18_2014
