(Updated) Car damages air conditioning unit at Bank of Commerce this morning

(Update, Friday, 2:30 p.m.) — The driver of yesterday’s accident was Ariel Peeler, a 25-year-old Wellington female, who was operating a 2013 Chevy Equinox. According to a Wellington Police Department press release, Peeler was driving southbound on Jefferson and suffered an unknown medical emergency resulting in losing control of her vehicle, veering to the right, leaving the roadway, and striking a small metal fence and air conditioner units belonging to the Bank of Commerce.

Her medical condition is unknown at the time of the accident.

(Thursday, 5 p.m.) Sumner Newscow report — A white SUV slammed into the air conditioning unit at the Bank of Commerce in Wellington this morning around 11:50 a.m.

Bank of Commerce President J.C. Long said only the company’s air conditioner unit was damaged. He said no one inside the building was hurt and it was business as usual at the bank, although it was a little toasty this afternoon.
