Jeanie Copeland

Carolyn “Jeanie” Copeland, of Wellington, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Wellington at the age of 62.

Jeanie was born the daughter of Gerald and Norma Jean (Armstrong) Duncan on Monday, June 08, 1953 in Aquadilla, Puerto Rico.

On May 17, 1975, Jeanie and Linn Copeland were united in marriage in Emporia. Together they celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Jeanie was employed at TECT Aerospace and retired following a 15 year career. 

Survivors include her husband, Linn Copeland of Wellington; daughter, Rachel Knight and her husband Layne; grandchildren: Susanna, Garrison and Nellie Knight all of Lebo; parents, Gerald and Norma Duncan; brother, Gary Duncan all of Guthrie, Oklahoma and a sister-in-law, Lisa Eades of Berryton. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Duncan.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2015 with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m

Funeral services for Jeanie will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at First United Methodist Church, Wellington.

Graveside services will begin at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Hillside Cemetery, Saffordville.

A memorial fund has been established in her loving memory to the Wellington Humane Society. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
