Chase Pfalzgraf named Big Cheese Athlete of the Week
Wellington’s Chase Pfalzgraf in the league race a week ago.
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Chase Pfalzgraf, a Wellington High School senior cross country runner, has been named Big Cheese Athlete of the Week.
Pfalzgraf is one of two runners to make it to state as a Wellington High School runner. We chose him as the top athlete, though, because of his two race performance. A week earlier, he placed first in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Div. IV meet in McPherson winning in less that five seconds against Clearwater’s Cole Bixtler-Lange, who happened to finish third in another regional. He then qualified for state last week near Chanute with a seventh place finish.
For his efforts, Pfalzgraf receives a FREE large delicious Big Cheese Pizza at 324 N. Washington in Wellington.
