Sumner Newscow report — Do you have ideas for your city?  Do you want to see changes at the school?  Now is the time to file for city council or school board.  Put your voice to work.  Help yourself, your family, your neighbor, and your friends.

Each city in Sumner County will have at least one opening for the city council.  Some cities will have the Mayor’s position up for election.

Each school district in School District will have at least one opening to serve the schools and children.

Contact the Sumner County Clerk’s office, 620.326.3395 or sucoclk@co.sumner.ks.us, to find out what position is open and receive the required paperwork for filing.  Filing fee of $20 is also due at the time of filing.

Filing begins Tuesday, January 2, and ends at noon, June 1, 2023.  City/School election is November 7, 2023.
