City: Construction crew damages overhead electrical conductor leading to outage in east Wellington
Sumner Newscow report — The following was a statement from Wellington City Manager Jeff Porter concerning the power outage on the east side of Wellington this afternoon:
“A construction crew out of the Wichita area was working along the US-160 corridor and damaged an overhead electrical conductor with a piece of machinery. Staff from multiple City departments responded to the incident to ensure scene and traffic safety while utility employees worked to restore power. No injuries were reported among the construction crew, and power was restored as quickly as site conditions allowed.”
