City of Wellington have several advisory board/commission position openings
Submitted to Sumner Newscow — The governing body asks that anyone interested in being considered for appointment for any of the board or commission positions that expire in April 2017 submit an Application for City Boards/Commissions by December 31, 2016, to the City Clerk’s Office. The application form is available in the City Clerk’s Office or is available on the City’s website, www.cityofwellington.net, on the Board and Commissions page. Additional information on the Boards/Commissions is also available on the website.
The City Boards/Commissions that have member terms expiring April 30, 2017 are the following:
Airport Advisory Board – 1 position, must reside in the City.
Combined Trade Board – Â 4 positions: 1 Building Contractor, 1 Electrical Contractor, 1 Plumbing Contractor and 1 Mechanical Contractor.
Health Care Authority Board – Both must reside inside the City.
Housing Authority Commission – 1 position, must reside in the City
Library Board – 2 positions, both must reside in the City.
Memorial Auditorium Board – 2 positions, 1 must reside in City and 1 may reside in USD353 area.
Park Board – 1 position, must reside in the City.
Planning Commission – 1 position, must reside in the City.
The appointment to any Board/Commission position is for a four-year term and the term will begin May 1, 2017.
