Conway Springs’ Brayden Kunz and offensive line are named Big Cheese Athletes of the week
By Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Running back Brayden Kunz and offensive linemen Jacob Osner, Lane Whitney, Cooper Koster, Ashton Stull and Blake Pauly are this week’s Big Cheese Athlete of the Week.
Conway Springs won the Class 1A State Championship in Hays by defeating Jefferson North 35-6. He had 300 yards in the state title game and broke the school’s single-season rushing record with 2,806 yards.
The five linemen helped make it happen.
For their efforts, the six boys receive a large Big Cheese Pizza at 234 N. Washington in Wellington.
