Cordell Jordan to play in 40th annual eight-man all-star game in Beloit this Saturday

Sumner Newscow report — Cordell Jordan, a 2025 Oxford High School graduate, is playing in the 40th Annual Eight-Man All-Star Game this Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Beloit.

He will be playing for the West squad as a running back and linebacker. Jordan, the son of Danny and Tomisha Jordan, is 6-1 and weighs 173 pounds. As a senior, he helped Oxford to a 7-3 record including a playoff berth under the direction of head coach Kyle Westerman.

Jordan plans to attend Wichita State University and major in Electrical Engineering.

His accomplishments include: All South-Central Border League first team defense, second team offense, and first team punter.
Senior year All League 1st Team Defense, All League First Team Offense, All District 1st Team Runningback, All District First Team Linebacker, All District Offensive MVP, All State First Team Athlete.In other sports, Freshman Track, Regional High Jump Champion, High Jump State Qualifier, Junior Basketball 17-5 Record, All League first Team Offense, First Team All League Defense, All State Honorable Mention. Junior year track: Regional High Jump Runner-up, High Jump State Qualifier, sixth place State High Jump in 2A.

Activities outside of school include: Textron Internship, Over the Summer, Multiple Tournaments won in Baseball AAU.

Academic honors include a 3.9 GPA, membership in the National Honor Society, and participation in the KAYS Club.
