Countywide burn ban stays in effect for third week due to drought
Sumner Newscow report — Due to the continued drought and extreme fire weather conditions, the Sumner County Commissioners have reissued a countywide burn ban for Sumner County, effective at noon today through Tuesday, April 25. This marks the third consecutive week for the ban.
The commissioners will revisit the burn ban issue on April 25 and determine if a seven-day extension is necessary at the time or if the burn ban should expire.
