Today’s News

*WHS, it’s time to get your dance on! The homecoming dance will be this Friday at the high school following the football game. This is an informal dance, and school dress code still applies. Tickets will be sold this week during lunch for $3, or $5 at the door. You will need to bring your student I.D. Out of town dates need to be signed up in the office by Thursday. The small gym will be open as an alternative to dancing, with games and activities. There will also be a Dr. Seuss photo booth to support our very own drama department.

*Just a reminder to the Freshman class: There will be a meeting tonight in the AG shop at 6:30 for the building of the class float.

*Crusaders, please remember to detach the lids of the empty bottles you recycle. Also, please do not put your trash in the recycle bins- put the paper in the paper bins and bottles in the bottle bins. Lastly, we’d like to say we only recycle plastic bottles and paper. Thank you- WHS Leadership

*Attention all Crusaders with school spirit! This year during spirit week there will be a special prize awarded!  For the spirit week group picture of four to ten students that is voted as the best, each member of the group will receive a 12 by 18 homecoming 2014 poster featuring their winning group picture and other great pics from spirit week and homecoming, courtesy of Red Rave Posters. Time to get creative ladies and gents!

*The NHS Blood Drive will be October 8. Sign-up for appointments during lunch.

*Attention All Seniors- On Friday, October 3rd all Seniors will be taking a picture in the gym during second block. We want this to be epic, so make sure to wear red and white to show your Crusader Pride.

*Spirit Week is this week!

Tomorrow is Cat in the Hat- Crazy Hair/Hat Day.

Wednesday- Mr. Brown Can Moo Can You? Favorite Dr. Seuss character or Animal.

Thursday- The Sneeches- Go all out and wear your stars.

Friday- One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish- Wear red to show your Crusader Pride.

*It is not too late to join us on our trip to Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales in June 2015!  If you are interested please see Mrs. Groom for information as soon as possible.  Trip price will go up Oct. 1.

*Experience a day in the life of a Shocker! Don’t miss out on Wichita State University’s Junior and Senior Days this fall. At these events you will explore the different academic majors and student involvement opportunities WSU has to offer. Students will also have the opportunity to tour campus and Koch Arena, home of Shocker Basketball.
