Dalton Silhan is a junior running back for Oxford.
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Dalton Silhan, a running back for the Oxford High School football team, has been named Big Cheese Athlete of the Week.
Silhan, a 5-10, 180 pound junior, ran for 77 yards and made countless tackles to help lift Oxford to a comfortable 46-0 win over Central-Burden Thursday night. He plays both running back and inside linebacker for the Wildcats.
Silhan has been a force all season for Oxford that won its first district championship in eight-man football. Oxford will be hosting West Elk in the first round Class 1A eight-man playoffs.
For his accomplishments, Silhan has won a free delicious large pizza at Big Cheese Pizza at 324 N. Washington Ave.
