Darryl Leslie Hamilton was born on September 21, 1946, in Wellington. Darryl was an adventurous soul known for his diverse interests and passions. His loyal nature was evident in his long-standing marriage to Paula Hamilton, tied in holy matrimony on May 3, 1970, and their enduring love story became an inspiration for many. Darryl was also a courageous and resilient individual, traits that were showcased through his family and career.

Darryl was a devout Christian. His faith was deeply intertwined with his daily life, and he found joy and purpose in providing a space for others to explore and deepen their own faith. His resilience and courage were evident in his life’s work, as was his deep love for God and his family, the things that mattered most to him. His witty and humorous personality brought joy and laughter to those around him. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 reminds us, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:.. ” Darryl embraced each season of life with grace and faith.

Darryl is survived by his loving spouse, Paula Hamilton; daughter, Heather Bridgwater (Brad) of Wichita; son, Brian Hamilton of Wellington; daughter, Stacy Eskandarion (Burt) of Wellington; daughter, Robin Norris (Ross) of Wellington; son, Robert Hamilton of Wellington; grandchildren: Tyler, Ashley, Aidan, Carley, Jocelyn, Kaleb, Jessy, Jenny, Claire, Emma, Faith, Oliver, Samuel, William; great-grandchild, Braden and brother, Jerry Hamilton of Wichita. He is preceded in death by his father, Leslie Hamilton, his mother, Nelda (Randall) Hamilton, and sister-in-law, Deanna Hamilton. In honor of Darryl, a service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Wellington Methodist Church, 202 W. Harvey, Wellington. Interment will be at Sumner Memorial Gardens, Wellington.
