Edwin Roberts

Edwin Oria Roberts, age 74, in Pfiefer,  joined his parents in Heaven on February 16, 2016 after a long struggle with heart disease.  Edwin was born on February 22, 1941 in Canton, Oklahoma to Charles Roberts and Olive Houchin.  He was joined into marriage on March 28, 1960 to Judy Jenista.  In this union they raised five children.

After graduation from Caldwell High School, he joined the army and upon completion he became a barber in Caldwell, .  He later became active in the oil and gas industry along with farming. As he farmed, he also worked in law enforcement finding his way back to the oil and gas industry until retirement.

Edwin was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Olive; brothers Jimmy and Charles Laverne.  

Survivors include his wife Judy and their children Kristy Turner (Brad), Lori Altamirano (Manuel), Roxi Hutsler (Kelly), Edwin Roberts II, and Tammy Swingle; seven grandchildren – Jon Neal, Joseph Gardner (Gabbie), Adam Gardner, Jory Hutsler (Kristin), Lieren Hutsler, Mallory Swingle and Mylee Swingle; six great grandchildren – Kyzer Hutsler, Brecken Hutsler, Decater Cink, Mya Neal, Lucas Neal, Robert Gardner and one sister Ann Crockett (Jim).

Edwin was looking forward to the arrival of baby Hutsler, June 2016.

A private family graveside was held.

Memorials may be given in memory of Eddie to the Sumner County District #1 Hospital.
