Sumner Newscow report — Wellington Mayor Shelley Hansel said the reason why the electricity went out for about five minutes after 10 p.m. Wednesday, was due to Westar Energy dropping the city from the grid. She said it has only happened one other time.

“Big thanks to our City crews for getting us back on so quickly,” Hansel said in a Facebook status report.
