When to vote. Election Day is Tuesday. Polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. People can still advance vote at the Sumner County Courthouse, but you better hurry. Advance voting ends at noon on Monday. If you are advance voting by mail then you better have your ballot postmarked today.

What are the major races in Sumner County?
Sumner County voters will have several races and questions on the ballot.:
President of the U.S.

Johnson and Weld, Libertarian
Stein and Baraka, Independent.
You have the option for a write in as you do in all other candidate races.
U.S. Senator:

Voters will be asked to retain or not retain six Supreme Court Justices.
Constitutional amendment
Voters will be asked to preserve the constitutional right of the public to hunt, fish and trap wildlife subject to reasonable laws and regulation.
Sales tax questions
Question 1 – Voters will decide to retain a half-cent sales tax for the financings of: emergency medical services, ambulance service, local health departments, and mental health.
Question 2 — Voters will decide to administer a half-cent sales tax to build a Cowley College campus in Sumner County which includes the financing the construction, repair, remodeling, furnishing and equipping of community college buildings, architectural expenses, real property for the use of building sites or for educational programs and the partial expenses related to the operation of said educational facilities and for the further purpose of economic development in Sumner County.
