Extension office to hold “Sumner County Ag Day” on Thursday, Jan. 23 at Raymond Frye

Submitted to Sumner Newscow — Sumner County Extension will hold Sumner County Ag Day on Thursday, January 23, at the Raymond Frye Complex, 320 North Jefferson, Wellington, Kansas.

The event will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

There will be vendor exhibits with presentations by Dr. Doug Shoup, K-State Agronomist, on row crop updates. Dr. Ianacio Clampitti, Crop Production Specialist, discussing Drought Tolerant Corn vs. Non-DT Corn.  Master Trooper, Nick Carter, Kansas Highway Patrol, discussing farm truck driver’s license and truck requirements.

American Ag Credit, United Country-Theurer Auction will provide lunch.
