Ferrell Marie Pruett Greeno

Ferrell Marie Pruett Greeno, age 85, of Ponca City, Okla. Ferrell passed peacefully on July 5, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family after her tireless battle with cancer.

Ferrell dedicated many years to her work in the bar service industry and was also a proud business owner at Ferrell’s Place in Wellington, Kansas. She spent countless years working alongside her husband, Bob J Greeno, as his secretary at Greeno’s Industries. She and Bob had a variety of interests in other business opportunities. Ferrell was a passionate and well-known Avon Representative for over 55 fabulous years, taking pride in everything she did.

She was born on October 15, 1939, to James Harvey Pruett and Frances Marie Pruett.

Ferrell married the love of her life, Bob J Greeno, on June 2, 1993, in Wellington, Kansas. Bob preceded her in death on August 20, 2003.

Ferrell was well known for her generous heart and passionate love for her family. Ferrell enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; she would often teach them her ways in the casino. Ferrell and her husband, Bob, helped raise a few of their many granddaughters, Miranda Callaway and Velvet Taylor-Moll.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Frances Pruett; husband, Bob Greeno; brothers, Jack Jackson and Harvey Pruett; sisters, Jean Glover and Joyce Birka; daughter, Jackie McCreary; son, Justin Greeno; and grandchildren, Cynthia (Cindy) Crawford, Heather Scott, and Greg Ashley.

Survivors include her children, Nancy Rader, Jana Tracy, Pokie Etter, and her husband Wayne Etter, Tye Price and her husband Mike Price, and Allen Greeno; sister, Connie Wynn; grandchildren 12; great-grandchildren 31; great-great-grandchildren 12.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 5 pm at the American Legion in Wellington, KS. We welcome you all to join us to share the endless memories we have had the opportunity to make with Ferrell over the years
