Former Cowboy Joseph Randle case continued to Jan. 7

Sumner Newscow report — Joseph Randle, former Dallas Cowboys running back, appeared in Sumner County District Court this morning in Wellington for his first appearance hearing facing four misdemeanor charges stemming from a Kansas Star Casino incident on Nov. 24.

Sumner County District Judge William Mott has continued the case until Jan. 7, 2016 so he can hire an attorney. Randle is facing two counts of disorderly conduct, a Class C misdemeanor; criminal trespass, a Class B misdemeanor; and interference with law enforcement, a Class A misdemeanor. Randle is accused of creating a scene during and after playing Blackjack at the casino that led to an altercation in the parking lot with Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission agent.
