Four Wellington and four Conway Springs athletes sign to various colleges
by Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — It was National Signing Day across the U.S., Kansas and Sumner County on Wednesday.
Four Wellington High School seniors signed letters of intent to play sports at various colleges as well as four Conway Springs football players.
Those who signed were:
Megan Campbell has signed a letter of intent to run track at Wichita State University. Campbell is with her parents Alan and Terri Campbell. Standing from left are Charles Wallace, Cherity Elder and Tyler Ryan, her track coaches.

Allysa Gandy signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play volleyball at Coffeyville Community College. She is seated with her parents Kelly Green and Terry Gandy. Wellington head volleyball coach Cherity Elder is standing.

Austin Lloyd signed a letter of intent to play football at Bethany College in Lindsborg. He is seated with his parents Michael and Michelle Lloyd. Conway Springs —
The four players who signed at Conway Springs include:
•Tanner Wood – Kansas State University;
•Quientine Hanafin – Southwestern College;
•Carl Leahy – Highland Community College;
•Josh Neises – Highland Community College.
