Varsity girls:

Wellington 56 Clearwater 18 — Wellington girls went above .500 with a complete demolishing of the Indians.

The Crusaders allowed just 6 points in the second half, and dominated all four quarters. Wellington led 12-5 at the end of the first quarter and held a 29-12 advantage at the half.

Wellington would outscore Clearwater 14-2 and 13-4 in the third and fourth quarter en route to 38 point win.

Avery Rusk led all scorers with 17. Jacelyn Buck had 10. Wellington is now 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the AV-CTL D-IV. The Crusaders host Collegiate on Tuesday which will be a key game as far as positioning in the league is concerned.

Wellington 45 Clearwater 37 — A big win for the Crusader boys as they moved back to .500 in the AV-CTL DIV.

The Crusaders opened with a 15-11 first quarter lead and held a 29-20 advantage at the half. Wellington would sustain the lead throughout the second half to pick up the win.

A.J. Snipes had 17 points with DeAndre Washington getting 13. Wellington hosts Collegiate on Tuesday.
