Gary Berger

Gary Lee Berger, of Wellington, died Saturday, February 07, 2015 at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita at the age of 81.

Gary was born the son of John and Mary M. (Cope) Berger on Friday, May 05, 1933 in Watertown, South Dakota.

On July 13, 1973, Gary and Linda Jean Wallace were united in marriage in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Together they celebrated 41 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Berger of Wellington, son, Mike Berger and his wife Laura of Ortonville, Minnesota, son, Jeff Berger and his wife Julie or Ortonville, Minnesota, son, Tim Berger and his wife Lepha of Wichita, daughter, Susan Johnson and her husband Chris of Wellington, grandchildren: Josh Berger and his wife Stacy of Ortonville, Minnesota, Samuel Berger and his wife Fawna of Ortonville, Minnesota, Brittany Heck and her husband Jared of Ortonville, Minnesota, Gabe Berger of Ortonville, Minnesota, Jacob Berger of Bismark, North Dakota, Rachel Berger of Moorehead, Minnesota, Jason Porter of Wichita and Michelle Berger of Wichita along with eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Berger, his brothers, John Berger, Jr. and Dennis Berger, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary E. and Leo Wallace and his sister-in-law, Mary Ewing.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 2015 with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral services for Gary will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 11th, 2015, at First Free Will Baptist Church, Wellington.

Interment will follow at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the Green Valley Cemetery in Furley.

A memorial fund has been established in his loving memory to the ASPCA or the First Free Will Baptist Church. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
