Georgia Shinliver

By Tracy McCue, Sumner Newscow — Georgia Shinliver, a Wellington sophomore, has been named the Big Cheese Athlete of the Week.

Shinliver helped the Wellington girls’ wrestling team finish eighth in the Rossville Invitational on Friday. She finished second in the 140-pound division, losing to Hollie Finneran of Maur Hill in the finals. She qualified for the finals after pinning Abigayle Pyle of Sabetha and Taylor Runich of St. Marys. Shinliver is 13-4 for the season.

For her effort, Shinliver is recipient of a large, delicious Big Cheese Pizza at 324 N. Washington.
