Glenda Turner

Glenda J. Turner, 66 of Cherokee, Kans. died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.

She was born January 1, 1947 in Lawrence, the daughter of Glen and Evelyn (Marr) Williams.  She had been a resident of the  Cherokee for the past 35 years.

Glenda married Paul Turner on August 4, 1979 in Downs , Kans.; he  preceded her in death on October 31, 2006.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son David Krier of Ft. Collins, CO; 3 daughters; Jalyn O’Malley of Weir, Carla Paasch of Pittsburg, Paula Hadden of Oxford, KS; 2 brothers Johnny and Brian and 5 sisters Gwen, Rhonda,  Sherry, Tina and Norma; 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul and a sister  Carol.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday February 15, 2013 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir with Reverend Dennis Johnson officiating, inurnment will follow in the Cherokee City Cemetery .
