Grace Prochaska

Grace Agnes (Eshelman) Prochaska, loving mother and grandmother, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at her residence in Medford, Oklahoma at the age of 92.

Grace was born the daughter of Andrew and Laura (Crane) Eshelman on Friday, January 30, 1920 on a farm near Corbin, Kansas.

On October 21, 1937, Grace and Emil George Prochaska were united in marriage in Enid, Oklahoma. Together they celebrated 49 years of marriage.

Her caring nature served her well as she was a nurse’s aide and medical aide for many years. Grace retired from the Medford Nursing Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Gracie Anna Prochaska of Macks Creek, Missouri, son, George Prochaska of Medford, Oklahoma, daughter, Beverley White of Venus, Texas, daughter, Kris Prochaska of Stilwell, Oklahoma, daughter, Janet Morris of Caldwell, Kansas, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, 2 brothers and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Graveside services for Grace will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 in the Corzine Cemetery near Corbin, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Alzheimer’s Association. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
