Submitted to Sumner Newscow — The Wellington High School administration is proud to announce the Valedictorians and top 10 percent of the 2013-14 senior class.

“It is my pleasure to name Gracie Dawn Defore; Ben Tyler DeJarnett and Holly Mae Wright as the Valedictorians,” said Dale Adams, Wellington High School principal.

The remaining top 10 percent of the senior class are:

“All of these students completed the requirements established by the USD 353 Board of Education for graduation and the Kansas Scholars Curriculum established by the Kansas Board of Regents,” Adams said.

Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday, May 4 at 2 p.m. at the New Spirit Church, 715 N. Woodlawn. Class Night for the seniors will be held Thursday, May 15 beginning at 7 p.m. with Commencement ceremonies to take place on Sunday, May 18 at 2 p.m.

Both programs will be held in the Wellington High School gymnasium. Seniors will receive 10 tickets to give to family and friends for priority seating for the commencement program.

Doors will open at 1 p.m. for ticket holders with the general public being selected at 1:45 p.m. The gymnasium provides ample seating so please don’t hesitate to attend the ceremony.

“We are very proud of all of our seniors and their accomplishments,” Adams said.
