Sumner Newscow report — The following is a message from Wellington Superintendent Adam Hatfield about moving the graduation ceremonies inside:

Dear Wellington Community, Graduates, Family, and Friends:

Thunderstorms are expected in our area this afternoon. As of now, it looks like the highest chances begin at 4 p.m. However, the storms that are coming include possible hail and tornadoes. If they happen to come early, we will have a large crowd gathered in an outdoor space and will not be able to provide proper shelter for those types of weather events.

Therefore, we have decided to move the Graduation indoors to the High School Gymnasium, where we have natural indoor shelter and FEMA-rated facilities if needed. We want to ensure that everyone who is traveling to celebrate the accomplishments of this great class of Crusaders is safe. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and your families.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 and thank you for your patience and understanding.
