Submitted to Sumner Newscow — The City of Wellington is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Landfill Operator, responsible for operation of the City Landfill, including transfer station building, construction and demolition landfill, and household hazardous waste.  Must be able to operate heavy equipment and scales, as well as, learn and follow City policy and State and Federal laws pertaining to solid waste management.  High School diploma or GED, valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain Commercial Driver’s License required.  Experience/training in heavy equipment operation/repair preferred.  Pay range is $13.34 to $19.91 DOQ with excellent benefits.
